I guarantee you if THE Austin Powers were to come out here and visit Bismarck and Mandan, if he were to drive along 210 N 21st his response would be...

"Groovy Baby". Scotty's Home Of The Rebel Burger has had this iconic sign since 1964, at one point on the top of their marquee were retro cool-looking saucers. What is a saucer? You can describe them as individual frisbees or as aberdeennews.com called the hip look as  “Jetsons”-style flying saucers".  The Scotty's here in town is part of a chain of drive-in restaurants that started back in 1962 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. "Aberdeen’s location opened in 1962, and has the distinction of being the first in the chain. It is one of four remaining Scotty’s. They look about the same, although the North Dakota restaurant lost its “Jetsons”-style flying saucers on its sign. Some still have a secondary sign with saucers on top of the building, but Aberdeen lost its rooftop sign"

"They were there about 15 years ago all broken so i guess they took them down..."

This is what Kurt Dilger posted on his Facebook page about the new spinning discs "...had them made custom for me. They were there about 15 years ago all broken so i guess they took them down"  - So check out the fine work from Mann Signs, INC:
