Shop Small Mandan Activities Announced

According to a press release from the Mandan Progress Organization, (Mandan, ND) – The Mandan Progress Organization (MPO) is hosting its annual Santa’s Arrival this Saturday but it comes with a twist. “Santa found out about the MPO’s Buggies-N-Blues event and asked to appear in a classic car this year,” said Executive Director Dot Frank. “He’ll drag Main Street with Mrs. Claus in the back of a convertible,” she added. Santa’s Arrival starts at 10 a.m. A police escort will lead the way from Hardee’s (500 E Main St) to the Mandan Depot (401 W Main St) and back.

After the parade, Santa will appear live on Facebook to talk about Christmas preparations, answer questions and listen to children’s wish lists. Shop Small Mandan will happen all day Saturday and specific store hours are listed on a dedicated website – ShopSmallMandan.com. The Shop Small Mandan Scavenger Hunt is a fun way to explore Mandan businesses virtually. Hidden on the business pages throughout ShopSmallMandan.com are holiday graphics. Shoppers should note where they find them and complete the Scavenger Hunt application for a chance to win $75 in Mandan Bucks, which are universal Mandan gift cards. Several winners will be chosen. The deadline to submit an entry is midnight on Monday, Nov. 30.

Sounds like "holly jolly" good time!  Shop Small Mandan activities are being coordinated by the Mandan Progress Organization with support from participating businesses and the Mandan Business Development and Communications Department. Shoppers will receive “Support Local” shopping bags and gift tags from participating merchants while supplies last.
