In the age of covid-19 everything and I mean everything needs to take the back burner to minimizing the spread of this killer corona.  Sacrifices have been made by all and economic conditions are weighing heavy on the state.

But, I can't help but feel especially sorry for high schools students and the activities and sports they've dedicated so much of their lives too.  It was a shock to see the State "A" Basketball Tounament cancelled- while in progress!  I'll say again- everything takes the back burner.

But so many of these students are seniors and this was going to be the culmination of years and years of hard work. Those poised to set state records in Track and Field will have to forever wonder if they could have captured that dream.  Basketball, Baseball, Tennis, Golf- every sport has been silenced.  There will even be an eerie silence this summer on the Canadian border as the International Music Camp has been cancelled for the first time since it's inception in 1956.

It seems the 2020 All-State Jazz Choir will no be silenced so easily.  Together they organized a social media hook-up that is letting their voices heard together again.  KFYR TV has their full story here.

For everyone involved in the production...we thank you too.
