The Sound of Ice Breaking on Ice Is Utterly Spellbinding
File this under "Who knew?"
An Australian man living in the United Kingdom was surprised when he tossed a piece of ice onto a frozen pond and heard a supremely surprising sound.
It almost sounds like birds or crickets, with the haunting addition of an echo to provide more chills. Of course, that's better than the sound of silence most Australians recently heard.
The video has generated a lot of noise on Reddit, where people have chimed in their thoughts after being captivated by the clip. Mother Nature continues to prove that she works in mysterious ways, wouldn't you say?
