So, I was excited for our first Bike Night of the year last night at Sickies Garage and it felt so good to be working the crowd again.  Meeting and chatting with our listeners and enjoying a beautiful evening in Bismarck.

As I was passing out tickets, somebody called my name and I simply turned my head quickly to help.  When I did that, I immediately felt dizziness and knew I was going into a Vertigo spell.  This is something that I have only experienced a couple times in my life before, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.  The best way to describe Vertigo, imagine a Tilt-a-Whirl on steroids at the fair.  A ride that doesn't end in a couple of minutes.  Sometimes goes for hours.

I stumbled to the side of the building to try not to become a spectacle to the large crowd gathering at Bike Night.  I remembered from the last time I had Vertigo seven years ago of a technique from a Doctor in Colorado, that helped me stop the spinning.  As I tried to find the video on my phone, unfortunately the spinning went out of control and vomiting began.  Thankfully, I hadn't eaten.  As my very caring co-workers helped me get through that, I knew I would not be able to safely drive home.  Luckily, my Mrs. was nearby and drove me home to our place south of Lincoln, where I spent the majority of the time dry-heaving for 20 minutes.

When we finally made it to our house, which seemed like an eternity at the time...I crawled into bed in the fetal position and really didn't care if I died or not.  That's what vertigo does to you.  After a couple of hours, I finally felt good enough to try these exercise to stop the dizziness.  It seemed to work.  Although, the spinning has stopped, I still feel like I was hit by a truck.  Like the worst hangover times two.

I wanted to share this video with you in case you or somebody you know suffers from Vertigo.  It's really debilitating and this video may help stop the spinning.  However, trust me...Your day or evening will still be wrecked.  I also wanted to add, I'm not a Doctor and Vertigo is something you should really discuss with yours, to find out what the underlying issue is.  I know I'm going to.
