Most people are ringing in the New Year wearing goofy paper hats and sipping champagne, rather than shooting guns at each other

The crazy sounds of a New Year. The traditional countdown, saying goodbye to 2021, and then all the festivities reach a peak as the fireworks blast off into the skies for a promising new set of 365 days ahead. That's the protocol, right? Well, in Dickinson, North Dakota, just 30 minutes into 2022 things got pretty scary.

You never know when you'll be at that wrong place at the wrong time

This could have been the case for innocent people in Dickinson. Those just minding their own business enjoying the celebration, thank goodness they were not out in a parking lot where several shots rang out in the early morning, where four men were poised to hurt each other. According to KFYR-TV  "...officers responded to reports of shots fired in a parking lot in the 1100 block of West Villard Street around 12:30 a.m. Saturday and found spent shell casings. One area business sustained damage from a stray bullet" Good news, there were no reports of any injuries, and KFYR-TV added that " Dickinson police say they’ve arrested two men..."  Remember earlier though I said four men?

Police are still looking for the other two suspects

As of 3:00 this afternoon ( January 4th ) Dickinson police were still looking for two individuals involved in the shooting, they also posted this on their Facebook page:

The only thing I have to say about the "...there is no belief that the public is in danger" part is, are these two guys still armed? That to me would be extremely dangerous.
