Get ready to lace up your running shoes and leave your sleigh at home
"On the 12th day of December, my true love gave to me, a brand new pair of Nikes" A SLIGHT change to the classic 12 Days Of Christmas song - but it definitely comes into play this Saturday when the Santa 5K Run/Walk takes place at the State Capitol grounds at 10:00 am. Last year was just a little different, due to COVID-19 -  a ton of runners participated via the virtual way, jogging the race in their living room.

The weather is looking like sunshine and temps in the high 30s

The great tradition of this event is to make sure you are wearing your Christmas red, dress festive, and enjoy each other's company, there might be one or two Santa Claus out there. The weather should be in the mid-'30s, with snow on the ground, this will be a fun white Christmas.  - This is a wonderful group of people formed by South Central District Judge David Reich to help support one another recovering from substance abuse. They generally meet three times a week providing a healthy outlet for physical and mental activity. The most dangerous element in an addict or alcoholic is idle time - isolating yourself from everyone else and surrendering to their disease.

US 103.3's B-Fish and Elliot will be on-site providing music and holiday cheer:)  Registration for the events can be completed at bismarcksantarun.com.

The Santa 5K run presented by Farmers Union Insurance has something for everyone

Along with the 5K, there is a Cool Mile presented by H.A Thompson & Sons.
