Welcome House, which is a homeless shelter in Bismarck, has reopened after facing permanent closure. 

According to The Bismarck Tribune, The shelter was originally in Mandan, but high rent caused Welcome House to close and look at their options. Thanks to many donations, Welcome House will be able to help those in need in Bismarck-Mandan at a brand new location.

Welcome House is now located at 902 E. Thayer Ave. and has officially opened its doors. The Bismarck Tribune states that the new shelter can hold up to 20 people at a time. The 4 bedrooms each contain bunk beds and an alarm clock. The best part? The fully stocked kitchen.

Not only is this shelter a place for the homeless to stay, it is a program that helps get them back on their feet. The program is 90 days. Residents will meet with someone to help them set up payment plans and getting their lives ready for success.
