Did you know that North Dakota has a place for medieval fun?

If you didn't know North Dakota has a Renaissance festival or faire you're not alone.  This is a relatively new festival in North Dakota, as it will take place for only the second time ever in the Peace Garden State.

The Renaissance Festival in Minnesota is very well known and has been a weekend destination for not only Minnesotans but eastern North Dakotans as well for a long time.

Now, organizers are hoping North Dakota's version will stick with its residents.

The 2nd annual North Dakota Renaissance Faire is coming for 3 big weekends in August (August 12th and 13th) (August 19th and 20th) (August 26th and 27th).  This year's events will take place at a new location the North Dakota Horsepark at 5180 19th Avenue North.  The shows will go on rain or shine and run from 10 am to 6 pm with free parking.

What can you expect at the North Dakota Renaissance Faire?

The clashing of swords as dark knights battle in medieval games, historic musical acts, comedic characters, the artisan marketplace, turkey legs to gorge on, and wash it all down with a cold ale or mead.

And when the sun sets you can enjoy a VIP performance at 6 pm with Cirque Ma' Ceo featuring acrobatics, fire dancing, and aerial stunts.

Tickets will set you back:

VIP Cirque & Fire Pass $20-$40.

Admission Day Pass $15-$25.

Weekend Pass $25-$45.

Keep listening to this radio station to win your FREE tickets to the 2nd annual North Dakota Renaissance Faire (joust for the fun of it).
