North Dakota – A Special Part Of A Mother And Son’s Journey
This happened over a year ago - I had a hand in helping a friend of mine with a very emotional goal
I'm from San Diego, California, and recently a friend of mine who lives out there, reached out for what she called "A Major Favor" - for me, it was a tremendous honor. Rachael Craven is her name, and her son John had dreams of being a homicide detective - sadly he lost his life at the young age of just 16 years old - 12/31/21. Passed away from diabetic ketoacidosis. Rachal has had this dream, this goal of spreading his ashes in EVERY State.
Mother and son.....that's what life is all about
Rachael is doing the best she can living life without her son, the pain is overwhelming. She is now celebrating the memories she had of John through her desire to have his ashes spread out in every state. Last year it was my turn to take a young man with so much potential, and a real zest for life, and spread part of his ashes right down at the edge of the Missouri River. I read a quick message she had for me to say... before I introduced John Edward Darious Sanders Craven to North Dakota
The Journey
"Between who you once were and who you are now becoming, is where the dance of life really takes place"
...and with, I proceeded to throw his ashes into the cold air. My friend Rachael gave me a memory I will never forget.
The day was March 23rd, 2023:
This is what I wrote on Facebook:
"Today the 23rd of March, it was my honor to help Rachael Craven with her goal...to spread her son John Edward Darius Sanderson Craven's ashes in every State...today marks #25...North Dakota..."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today is December 4th, 2024- and Racheal is SO close to reaching her and John's journey - THIS is where YOU can help - with 46 States complete, Wyoming, Arkansas, and Kentucky have people lined up and ready to spread his ashes - Colorado is the ONE State she needs - if anyone has friends or family member that live there, they can be a part of something special as well. You can contact her through Facebook - just simply send Racheal Craven a message, and she'll take it from there. This is a big part of her life, as John was as well.
I asked Rachael to say a couple of things about how life is going...
"I have felt honored by everyone helping out and like I said before not everybody that has helped out knew me and John. They've been referrals from Friends and it's so touching that they've gone above and beyond then just spreading him in the local park. Which some have and thats great as all I wanted is him in every state I didn't care if it was in their backyard. Well Kentucky fell out because the lady passed away. But Kentucky's being covered by my friend in Indiana whose daughter is a newscaster and may do the story. She's got to get approvak from the bigwigs you know. Tracy Wayland is her name her daughter's name is Jordan Wayland And she actually had her ex-husband do Alabama. He did it on a golf course. Arkansas is still pending because the guy had done it but he lost his phone so I have to send him out ashes again. Colorado I don't have anybody and Wyoming my niece and great nieces are doing. They just have to synchronize their schedules. Not supposed to have any favorites but Texas that guy went above and beyond Alvin is his name he laminated John's Memorial pamphlet he made the stand that he put it on and now he's going to make John a little sword to go with it. And he applied it to the tree with the metal hooks that you're going to need a crowbar to get out. All the videos that have Birds I do believe that John is the bird in those videos. What's really cool is numerous people have said that they felt John or a weird or different thing happened when they were spreading his ashes"
Once again, YOU can help complete her journey...
...If you or anyone knows friends or family from Colorado - message Rachael Craven on Facebook - and help her complete this wonderful journey.
