March has come in like a Lion so let's keep the roaring going. Cancer affects nearly everyone at some point in life. Self to family to friends, rare for one to say that "I do not know anyone that's had or been affected by cancer." With that on our minds, the "Community Kicking Cancer" nonprofit, a 501C organization is one that should be on everyone's radar.

RURAL AMERICA IN NEED

The Community Kicking Cancer is a nonprofit that focuses on helping those individuals fighting cancer that live in remote, rural areas in southwestern North Dakota. The treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation treatments and ongoing oncology appointments are an expense that is staggering on top of just the cost of treatments themselves. The fuel for the miles traveled, often well over 100-200 miles one way, then paired with hotel accommodations needed to meet appointment times add to expenses that are hard to imagine for many that do not live in remote Rural America. This is where "Community Kicking Cancer" is stepping in to help. They aid cancer patients with gas cards, hotel assistance, and by making special items such as comfort blankets for persons dealing with cancer and receiving chemotherapy treatments, as just a few examples.
