Sherrif Deputy Injured in Crash

A McKenzie Country Sheriff's Deputy was injured in a crash Wednesday morning around 10:30 near the town of Cartwright.

The ND Highway Patrol says 28 year old Christopher Cloud was airlifted to Bismarck for treatment. The officer was making a u-turn on Highway 200 and was struck from the rear by a truck. The driver of the truck was uninjured.

The deputy was conscious and alert at the scene. The Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
