Wine And Prizes? The Downtowner’s Art and Wine Walk Is Thursday!
There's two types of wine drinkers.
I'm not talking about red wine drinkers...
versus
white wine drinkers
Nope, I'm talking about wine sippers...
versus
WINOS.
Well, you'll find all four in downtown Bismarck this Thursday evening for the 9th Annual Downtowner's Art and Wine Walk. Don't worry, I'll represent the winos. There's just something about a nice Cabernet Sauvignon, that's just says to me- sure, I'd love another bottle. I stick with the reds, as too much white wine splits my head in two.
Let's proceed with the story in the "spirit" of moderation.
Events like this give me an opportunity to walk downtown Bismarck and see everything that's happening on the street level. Tell you what- there's plenty going around. It really is a beautiful place for a stroll with your friends sampling wine selections, enjoying some appetizers and checking out some art. Maybe, even buy some art! It's impolite to always wait for artists to die be for you buy their stuff.
The Wine Walk goes on from 4:30 until 9 PM. And no, you don't have to be there the whole time. What are you a wino or something?
You'll start at Dakota Stage on Main and get your TREASURE MAP! You then take your map and get it stamped at all the various downtown locations for a shot to win some pretty spiffy prizes.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and can only be purchased online- which is easy to do right here.
I tracked down my pal Downtowners President Dawn Kopp for a nice chat about the event- you can listen to that right here
