Breakdown Of The Minnesota Twins Schedule 2020
Ready or not Major League baseball is back and I for one can't wait. Not having college sports and especially pro sports has been one of the hardest things for me during this pandemic. The Minnesota Twins will open up on the road on the south side of Chicago taking on the White Sox for a 4 games series set to begin on July 22nd. Chicago is expected to be better this season, but most experts still have the White Sox finishing 3rd in the division behind Cleveland and Minnesota.
After Chicago the Twins will come home for an 8 game home stand against St. Louis, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Here's how the schedule will breakdown for the Twins according to Twins Daily. Minnesota's inter-league schedule goes like this. 6 games against Milwaukee. The Brewers are the Twins National League rivalry team every season. Minnesota will also play 4 games against Pittsburgh, 4 against St. Louis, 3 against the Chicago Cubs and 3 against the Cincinnati Reds. The Twins will play each team in the American Central division 10 times, that includes the Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers & Cleveland Indians.
The 60 game schedule will wrap up at the end of September with the playoffs beginning in October. Since 40 of the games will be against AL Central division teams and the rest is inter-league games, that means no Yankees, Red Sox or other big draw American League teams will face the Twins this season.
The Twins are favored to win the American League Central by most experts. Vegas has the Twins as the 4th likely team to win the World Series. The Dodgers are #1 followed by the Yankees and Astros.
