Mandan’s Spring Clean-Up Week Postponed
Blizzard Impacts Spring Clean-Up Week
The Mandan City Government made a series of announcements today, one being that "Spring-Clean-Up Week" has been postponed.
The city made the announcement on its Facebook page, saying that due to this week's winter storm, they feel it's best to move it back.
Spring clean-up was originally scheduled to last a total of 6 days, from April 18th through April 23rd.
New Dates
The new dates for the city-wide clean-up event are May 2nd - 7th. Let's hope we don't get hit with any more storms and the snow melts before then!
Beginning on May 1st, Mandan residents may start placing bulky items at their boulevard curb for special waste pick-up. Otherwise, the landfill will be open on Saturday, April 30th and during the clean-up week (May 2nd - 7th) from 8am to 4:45pm.
During these dates, residents may bring appliances, furniture and other household items to the landfill, free of charge.
Keep In Mind:
Items will not be picked up from alleyways, and these items need to kept separate from household garbage. Items must also be placed on your boulevard no earlier than 24 hours to pick up and no later than 5am on your regularly scheduled garbage day.
Odd We Even Have To Say This, But What Do I Know...
City crews will not pick up hazardous waste, liquids, animal carcasses, tires, and/or carpeting. Items the city will not collect include but are not limited to what was just mentioned.
