Ran across the results of a new study about brothers and sisters and I had to share this since it's right on with my family.  According to a new study, firstborn siblings are more likely to be conservative than the second-born.   And it's true for the Hemingway family.  I was the first born and I'm much more conservative than my younger brother Jon.   I wondered why and here's the lowdown:

The theory –– says that firstborn kids are used to being dominant and get most of the attention when they are the only child for a few years, so they prefer to uphold the status quo. Firstborns also stay conservative in order to align themselves with their mom and dad (all parents are conservative?  I think not)  Meanwhile those 2nd born children, on the other hand, are looking for a way to get attention in their families, so they rebel.
